Run the restaurant door from one place: diary, tables, check-in and deposits

Bookado is the reservation and host stand system for restaurants. Managers plan the room in the Backoffice, the team at the door works from a tablet, and guests check in with an NFC tap or a QR scan — with deposits when you want them.

The door is where a good night goes wrong

Paper lists, a phone that keeps ringing, tables that "should" be free and parties that never turn up. Every host has lived that Saturday.

What Bookado changes

  • One diary per venue that the tablet and the office see at the same time.
  • A floor plan that reflects the real room and shows availability by time.
  • Deposits on the bookings you choose, paid to your own account.
  • Check-in resolved by NFC or QR, not by spelling names at the door.

Built for the shift, not for the demo

  • One diary, every channel

Bookings, walk-ins and no-shows in a single week and day view per venue, so the host never juggles a paper list and a phone.

  • Tables that match the room

Draw floors and tables as they are, see availability by time and seat parties on the plan instead of guessing capacity.

  • Fewer no-shows with deposits

Ask for a deposit on the bookings you choose. Guests pay by card into your own Stripe account; you decide when to waive it.

  • Check-in at the door in seconds

Guests tap an NFC card or scan a QR code at the host stand and the booking is resolved on the spot — no name spelling.

How it works: Backoffice → tablet → guest

  1. Backoffice

Managers set opening hours, floors, tables, deposit policy and team roles from the browser.

  2. Host stand tablet

The team at the door pairs a tablet to the venue, works the day list, seats parties and resolves check-ins — and keeps working through short connectivity drops.

  3. Guest

Guests receive reminder and cancellation emails when enabled, pay deposits by card and check in with NFC or QR.

Modules

Everything lives in one account; which modules and limits you get depends on the plan.

  • Diary

Week and day schedule per venue with status filters.

  • Floor plan

Floors, tables and live availability by time.

  • Bookings

Create, edit, seat, cancel, restore and mark no-shows.

  • Deposits

Per-venue policy, card payments via Stripe Connect, mark paid or waive.

  • Guests

Lookup, history, merge duplicates and anonymise on request.

  • Reports

Bookings, occupancy and deposits over time, by venue.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need special hardware?

No. The host stand app runs on a standard tablet paired to your venue with a one-time code. NFC check-in needs a tablet with NFC; QR check-in works with the camera.

How do deposits reach my bank account?

Deposits are charged to your own Stripe account, connected from the Backoffice. Bookado never holds the money and never stores card numbers.

What happens when the internet drops at the door?

The tablet keeps the last synchronised day list and floor plan so the host can keep seating; changes sync when the connection returns.

Can I run more than one venue?

Yes. Venues, devices and team members are limited per plan; the pricing page shows the live limits for each plan.

Is there a trial?

Every new organisation starts on a trial and picks a plan from the Backoffice when it ends. No card is needed to start.

Who owns the guest data?

You do. Bookado processes it on your behalf; you can anonymise a guest at any time. See the privacy policy for details.
