Terms of service
Version
1. The service
Bookado is a software service for restaurants that combines a reservation diary, floor plan and table management, a host-stand application for tablets (walk-ins, seating, NFC/QR check-in), deposits on bookings, guest records and reports. These terms apply to the organisation that creates a Bookado account (the “customer”) and to every user the customer invites.
2. Account and organisation
The person who signs up creates an organisation and becomes its owner. Owners are responsible for the users they invite, for the roles they assign and for keeping credentials confidential. Each organisation may operate one or more venues within the limits of its plan.
3. Trial, plans and billing
- New organisations start on a trial. When the trial ends the organisation must choose a plan to keep writing bookings.
- Plans, prices, billing interval and limits are those displayed in the plan catalogue at the time of subscription. Prices are shown in the catalogue currency and exclude taxes unless stated.
- Subscriptions are billed through Stripe in advance for each billing interval and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current interval.
- If a payment fails the organisation enters a grace period. If it is not resolved, the account is suspended until payment is regularised.
- Plan limits (venues, devices, users, floors, tables, bookings per venue and month) and features are enforced by the service. Exceeding a limit requires upgrading the plan.
4. Deposits and payments from guests
When a restaurant enables deposits, guests pay into the restaurant’s own connected Stripe account. Bookado facilitates the flow but is not a party to the transaction between the restaurant and its guest. Refunds, no-show policies and their communication to guests are the restaurant’s responsibility.
5. Customer data and privacy
The customer owns the data it enters into Bookado, including guest data, and is responsible for having a lawful basis to process it and for informing its guests. Bookado processes that data as a processor under the privacy policy and a data-processing agreement available on request.
6. Acceptable use
The customer will not use Bookado to send unsolicited communications, to store data it has no right to process, to attempt to access other organisations’ data, to reverse-engineer the service or to disrupt its operation. Public endpoints are rate-limited and abusive traffic may be blocked.
7. Availability and support
We aim to keep the service available continuously and announce planned maintenance in advance. Support is provided by email at support@bookado.app during business hours. The host-stand application keeps working with the last synchronised data during short connectivity losses.
8. Intellectual property
Bookado and its software remain our property. The customer receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during the subscription.
9. Liability
The service is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid by the customer in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost bookings or revenue.
10. Termination
The customer may cancel at any time from the billing settings. We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment or material breach of these terms after notice. After termination the customer can request an export of its data within a limited period, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
11. Changes to these terms
We publish each version of these terms with its date. Material changes are announced to account owners before they take effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction stated in the order or subscription confirmation, and disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
